The Ramsgate Old Police Station Project, now known as The Courthouse, transformed one of Ramsgate’s most historic buildings into a landmark residential development. Originally built in the 19th century and later serving as the town’s police station, the building had fallen into disrepair before being carefully redeveloped. Asta Construction led the project to breathe new life into this conservation area site, creating a high-quality living space that respects the building’s heritage while providing modern comfort.

Delivered in three phases, the project introduced 87 high-specification one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, each designed with luxury finishes and served by two lifts for accessibility. The redevelopment combined architectural sensitivity with contemporary standards, retaining elements of the building’s historic character while integrating advanced systems such as over 500 energy-efficient glass-panel heaters with smart controls. The result was a seamless blend of old and new, showcasing Asta Construction’s ability to balance preservation with innovation.

Located in the heart of Ramsgate, just steps from the Royal Marina and within easy reach of London, The Courthouse has quickly become one of the area’s most desirable residential addresses. By delivering a development that enhances both functionality and visual appeal, Asta Construction not only revitalised a neglected landmark but also contributed to the regeneration of Ramsgate’s town centre, creating long-term value for the local community and future residents alike.
